Writer's Roundtable

Quigley Cottage, Granite Co Museum and Philipsburg Public Library are sponsoring a Writers roundtable Saturday, July 8, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Museum. We have 10 Montana authors who will discuss their writing accomplishments, take questions, have discussions with the audience, and then have a chance to sign and sell their books. Refreshments( lemonade and cookies) will be provided. Kara will have a wine tasting table with crackers and cheese for wine connoisseurs. Children are welcome. The event is free. Handouts and prizes will be given. Donations to the museum appreciated.

Miner's Union Competition

Events will start at The Springs (upper brewery) at 9 am and conclude with a potluck and awards at 5 pm on Broadway. The events will include Jackleg Drilling - Men, Women, and Teams, 12-B Mucking, Hand Mucking, Spike Driving, Swede Saw, Hand Steel, Gold & Sapphire Mining, and a Stamp Mill Demonstration. There will be a kids events throughout the day as well. Come to participate or watch! A great way to spend the day!
